A promotional tourism project which was developed to brand counties heritage offer in partnership with the Destination Management Organisation and 121 heritage organisations. This was done by creating the ‘Somerset Routes’ brand, which included a map of the county inspired by the underground tube map and splitting the county’s scattered sites into 7 ‘lines’ to travel.
The result of this project was the creation of a heritage themed sub-section of the Visit Somerset site, a guidebook, itineraries, short films, touring exhibitions and temporary museum-based exhibitions. By working with a PR company the project achieved local, national and international recognition, including a double-page spread in the Telegraph. Current development includes a dedicated website and social media functions.
